Gatorland balances the entertainment value of a theme park with the important role of a nature conservatory. Often called the “Alligator Capital of the World”, the park and preserve sprawl over 110 acres with thousands of alligators, birds and reptiles. A breeding marsh with a boardwalk and observation tower and the Swamp Walk offer a glimpse into Florida?s natural beauty. For the bravest or most curious visitors, participating in the Trainer for a Day program can be a jaw-dropping adventure. The 2-hour experience includes learning safety procedures, hands-on training and daily activities of trainers which may include wrangling and moving large alligators. Advance reservations are required and minimum age is 12.
Parking is always free at Gatorland. Two restaurants and vending machines offer meals, drinks or snacks within the park. The gift shop offers a wide array of themed merchandise.
