An Evening at La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil

I recently had the opportunity to catch a show at La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil.  In all my years living in Orlando, I had not seen this fascinating show.  What a wonderful time I had!  La Nouba is located under that big white circus tent in the West Side at Disney Springs.  You can’t miss the enormous attraction when visiting Disney Springs.

La Nouba offers the audience nearly two hours of pure excitement.  Guests experience bright, dancing colors and a thrilling storyline set against live music.  The orchestra can be indirectly seen through the two towers at each end of the stage.  A host of Characters, dressed in unique, colorful costumes, interact with the audience on every skit.  This creates an intimate performance well worth vacation dollars and precious personal time.

La Nouba by Cirque de Soleil at Disney Springs brings together many talents under one attraction.  There’s juggling and balancing acts, mesmerizing break dancing choreography, stunning bicycle tricks, incredible trapeze artistry and aerial dancing, and a showcase of trampoline stuntmen that will set your emotions on fire.  Muscle Men, singers, and hilarious skits by clowns complement the story.  It’s a continuous stream of excitement that never dulls.

Cool Tips For Your Orlando Vacation

It has been a hot July with a Heat Index climbing over 105 degrees on most days.  While this weather may be perfect for the beaches or Disney Water Parks, it is sometimes difficult to tolerate hours on end while visiting the Orlando theme parks or outdoor shopping malls.  Follow these simple tips to make your outdoor activities more bearable.

Dress in comfortable clothes for the weather conditions and hours of exposure to direct sunlight.  Bathing suits and light colored clothing are perfect for days spent outdoors at the theme parks.  Choose clothing that is lightweight and allows your skin to breath easily.  Apply a higher level of SPF sunblock to skin that is exposed to the sun.  Sunburn can make the rest of your vacation unpleasant.

Drink lots of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and energized.  It is easy to become dehydrated in the summer sun, especially walking several miles within Disney theme parks.  Our bodies are mostly water.  You’ll lose a large amount of water through perspiration.  A good suggestion would be to carry a water bottle with you and refill when empty.  This will also alleviate soreness felt after a long day outdoors.

Cool Off with a delicious ice cream snack from a snack stand.  Snack Kiosks can be found everywhere at the Disney Parks and outdoor shopping malls.  Children, especially, will be thankful for the unique treats such as the famous Dole Whips and Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bars found at Walt Disney World.  Grab some treats for the whole family while waiting in line at one of the roller coasters.  Your wait will be more enjoyable.

Take Some Time and Rest under shelters and misting stations throughout the theme parks and shopping malls.  Restrooms and restaurants within the attractions also provide for a good spot to rest in air conditioning and gain a second wind.  Wipe a damp paper towel across your head, arms, and legs for a quick cool-down in between amusement rides.

More hot and humid days are in the forecast, at least for the next couple months.  Stay comfortable and take our Cool Advice while visiting the Orlando area theme parks this summer.  These tips will greatly improve your vacation experience at the Attractions.

Mako to Debut June 10 at SeaWorld Orlando

The wait will soon be over.  Mako at SeaWorld Orlando is set to debut to an anxious crowd on June 10.  It will be Orlando’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster.  Recently released behind-the-scenes videos and news reports have generated quite the hype within the last month.

Mako will anchor a new section of SeaWorld called Shark Wreck Reef.  This new experience focuses on the education and preservation of sharks.  Featured within this attraction is Shark Encounter, Sharks Underwater Grill, and shops where you can find souvenirs.  Venture into a theme of an underwater shipwreck and reef before encountering Mako.

Mako will challenge riders to tight turns, the steepest drops, and thrilling speeds of up to 73 miles per hour!  Reach heights of 200 feet into the sky along a track that runs nearly a mile long.  Riders will feel a sense of weightlessness as they experience intense airtime.  There are no typical harnesses, and riders will only be held down by a lap bar.  Wow!  My heart just races thinking about this roller coaster.

Stay tuned to our Blog.  We may even take a special trip away from work to experience the Awesome Attraction of Mako when it opens.  Better yet, come to SeaWorld Orlando to ride this hypercoaster yourself.
